The Sunday Supplement: Valentine's Edition with Laura

At Unfabled, we believe wellness isn’t one-size-fits-all—it’s personal, evolving, and sometimes a little trial and error. That’s why we’re back with The Sunday Supplement, our bi-weekly series exploring the real supplement routines of our team and community. And since love is in the air, we’re putting a Valentine’s twist on this week’s edition with our Operations Executive, Laura. From self-care rituals to date-night essentials, here’s how she’s showing up for herself (and her partner) this season.

What’s your main health and wellness goal? Why do you take supplements?

I recently experienced burnout, and it was a real wake-up call to prioritise my health and well-being. My goal? To take care of my body and mind so they can take care of me. I want to feel good, move freely, and enjoy all the little things in life—long walks, swimming in the sea, dancing, laughing with friends. That’s what it’s all about for me.

How would you describe your supplement routine?

Ever-evolving! I love a routine, but I also get bored easily. I have my non-negotiables, but the rest depends on where I am in my cycle, my workload, and what’s going on in life. Supplements help me feel my best, so I can show up fully for the things and people I love.

Since joining Unfabled, I’ve had so much fun sampling new products, and it’s really kept my routine fresh. There’s always something new to discover, and I love finding what actually works for my body.

Can you walk us through your daily supplement routine?

Morning

ACV gummies first thing, then straight into either a gym session or a home workout with my We Glow app (depending on where I am in my cycle). Occasionally, I’ll squeeze in a 15-minute meditation—still working on making it a habit, but when I do, I feel way more grounded.

Breakfast = non-negotiable protein

Since I’m constantly sampling new brands at Unfabled, my protein smoothie ingredients are always changing (which keeps things exciting). Current favourites:

  • Sixways Hormone Balance Mushroom Blend (Decaf Coffee) – If you’re trying to cut back on caffeine but still want a delicious, creamy coffee alternative, this is it. No jitters, just smooth energy.

Midday

Cue the midday slump. My go-to fix? Unfabled Mushroom Superblend + a quick walk. Rain or shine (mostly rain, let’s be honest), getting outside + a functional boost from my mushrooms helps me refocus for the rest of the day. I’ve recently not been great with prioritising getting outside because it’s cold, but our fabulous Social Media Executive, Harriet, has been keeping me accountable with our lunchtime walks. 

Evening: Let’s Talk Date Nights

With Valentine's Day around the corner, I’m planning a date night for me and my partner.

There are two types of date nights I prioritise: solo date nights and date nights with my partner.

Solo Date Nights

Taking myself out on date nights is one of my favourite rituals. Whether it’s dressing up for a solo spicy marg or staying in with a book and my LED mask, it’s all about doing exactly what I want, on my own terms.

My recent solo date night looked a little something like this:

  • Reading my book Feeling Myself by Nathalie Lee – highly recommend! It explores how we can build sexual freedom, and yes, I have highlighted half the book already.
  • Wearing my BeautyPro Photon LED Mask – this is a recent purchase, and I’m currently obsessed.
  • Sipping on Phyto Nectars’ I Am Focused – hits the sweet cravings and helps me unwind; it basically tastes like creamy hot chocolate.
  • Ending the night with Unfabled Magnesium Superblend – because there is nothing that turns me on more than a good night’s sleep.

Valentine’s Date Night with My Partner

My love language is physical touch and words of affirmation, so my dream date is all about cosy vibes, connection, and a little spice.

My V-Day essentials:

I can be a little shy when it comes to trying new things in the bedroom, but these make it so much easier. Awkward giggling at first (from me), but that’s kind of the point—it’s all about fun, comfort, and making intimacy whatever you want it to be.
  • HANX Condoms – Because she isn’t getting pregnant anytime soon. But also, a lot of condoms contain chemicals that can increase your risk of UTIs, and HANX keeps things as natural as possible. UTIs? A big no from me.

What’s your desert island supplement?

Given that I was raised on an island, the idea of being stranded on one actually sounds pretty ideal. But if I had to choose just one supplement, it would be Sixways Hormone Balance Mushroom Blend because I love my coffee and I love balanced hormones.

What's one piece of advice you'd give to someone on supplements

Don’t overcomplicate it. Figure out your non-negotiables and build a strong routine around that. Life gets busy, and you don’t need to be taking everything. Just make sure you’re covering the essentials that support your needs.

Bonus tip: Find an accountability partner. Mine is my partner, and honestly, he really helps me get out of bed at 6am and hit my wellness goals.
