How hormone changes affects your bladder during menopause.

A gradual decrease in oestrogen after menopause affects the tissues of the vagina, vulva, and urethra.  As these tissues thin and have less lubrication, urinary tract infections become more common, along with vaginal dryness. This might also cause you to experience sexual difficulties during your menopause years.

Decreasing oestrogen levels may also cause night time hot flushes, frequent awakenings, and nighttime bathroom trips.

Taking control of stress incontinence.

Stress incontinence may be correlated with a weak pelvic floor, as well as anatomic changes, weight, and high-impact exercise. Strengthening and coordinating the pelvic floor musculature with a menopause-friendly exercise routine is a great way to support normal function.

Regular physical activity to build muscle tone, and core exercises like yoga, barre, and Pilates can help reduce stress and strengthen your body, including your pelvic floor muscles.

Opening up about bladder difficulties

Managing your menopause symptoms might feel more manageable when you’re comfortable speaking up about them — but we understand if you’re feeling nervous or even embarrassed sharing experiences like having frequent bathroom trips or incontinence. Seeking professional support can help you manage your symptoms, especially if they’re disrupting your day-to-day routine and lifestyle.

Best incontinence pads

They're very soft and slim and I don't have to worry about them having any toxins or chemicals.

Pads you can count on

These pads are incredible! They're incredibly comfortable and soft, and the best part is that they're sustainable. It's all about putting the planet first!

Unimpressed

Found these very fiddly to use, ok for light use but not absorbent enough for anything more.

Excellent product!

The best incontinence pads I've had! Slim yet reliable. Comfortable. In reasonable price. Sustainable. And, what is the most important for me, without nasty chemicals that could mess up in my body. Highly recommended!
